Life lessons from learning.

To be honest, being smart isn't all it's cracked up to be. Being good at chess, Hearthstone, math, or science doesn't automatically lead to a happy or successful life. Unless you're able to turn those skills into something practical, they don't always pay the bills.

One thing I've learned from playing Hearthstone is that sometimes all you need is one pivotal card to turn the entire game around. Life can be like that, too. Sometimes learning a trade, developing a practical skill, or finding work that people genuinely need can be that pivotal move.

After chasing knowledge for years, I've come to realize that intelligence alone isn't enough. At this point in my life, I'd rather have a good job, a loving wife, and children than simply be known as a smart person.

So if you're young and trying to figure out your path, don't focus only on being intelligent. Learn things that are useful, build skills that help others, and create a life with purpose. Being smart is valuable, but it's only one piece of the puzzle. A meaningful life comes from putting your abilities to work in ways that matter.
